Rarity ignored them all. Sure, they were medical professionals, but they were just that: medical professionals. They thought in ways of logic, science, numbers, and experimental hops, and thus couldn't or wouldn't see the bright opportunity in front of them.

Seeing that she was obviously delusional, the doctors warned her of the legal issues. If anything were to go wrong with this process, Rarity would not be as lucky as the helicopter pilot; she would be ruined, jailed, and forever held in infamy.
Rarity smiled at them. I'm willing to risk it~
The doctors just resorted to waiting for the inevitable failure after that.
It never came.
Instead, five years to that day, the doctors found themselves looking at a curtain and Rarity.
Rarity grinned. Behold, after five years of hard work and preparation, my greatest work ever: Pegasus, Reconstructed!
The curtains unveiled a Pegasus pony, like any other save for the ugly scars and stitches covering her skin.
Rainbow Dash grinned. Prepare to be amazed!
The doctors prepared to be horrified. Any moment, they could all see this crazy endeavor falling apart at the seams literally. The more squeamish of them had already left the room in a rush.
The Pegasus took off.
What happened next surprised them all: she did not fall apart. In fact, she was flying like any other Pegasus almost as if she hadn't been horribly chopped up a scant five years ago!
Their applause was positively deafening!
