Dean's not really sure when it happened.
When his little brother splintered.
Because sometimes he looks into his Sam's hazel eyes and he swears he can he see Sammy still in there. The little boy that gazed up at his big brother with so much devotion, so much love. The teenager he could bring to hysterics with a stupid joke. The adult who swore he hated that nickname, but would at least smile his way once in a while.
The other times when Dean looks at Sam, he sees someone else. Someone he barely knows.
Someone he's starting to fear.
