Speed Drabble at Hogwarts. Prompts: Daphne/Pansy, "What are you hiding?", ballerina
There isn't fanfare when the new ballerina joins the class. The teacher doesn't even mention that Daphne Greengrass had joined them, and instead she just faded into the class, as if she had been there all along.
Pansy found this rather suspicious. As well as being too talented a ballerina to be at their level of dancing, and having too pretty of a face, there was a solo coming up in their next performance, and Pansy was dead-set on having it. With Daphne now in the class, her chances were significantly lowered.
"Break time, drink your water and be back in two minutes!" the teacher said, and the class let out an audible sigh of relief. Pansy broke her elegant form and slouched instantly, giving up her posture right away.
Before she could hobble over to her water bottle and release her feet from the ballet shoes for even just thirty seconds, Daphne was cornering her.
Pansy refused to back up, and stared at Daphne. "What do you want from me?" There was no response from Daphne, so Pansy tried again. "What are you hiding?"
To that, Daphne broke out into a smile and laughed. "You'll see," she said, just as the ballet teacher was calling for them to come back.
All throughout the rest of class, Pansy kept stealing glances at the beautiful and mysterious new ballerina.
