"Josh, real men sleep naked."
Danny was referring to my t-shirt.
I shrugged, "I used to, before. . ."
My voice trailed off as I shrugged out of it.
His sharp intake of breath, at the sight of my scars, indicated he thought I meant the shooting.
I meant before Sam dumped me.
We had slept naked in each others arms.
I wouldn't with anyone else; I couldn't get that close again, not even with Amy.
The physical scars healed, the emotional scars wouldn't.
You just move on with life.
But I still slip my clothes on, afterwards.
"Who said we're sleeping?"
