Hope
AN: Not sure if I should label this as angst or not? Just a strange drabble before work, anyway. Working on ch3 of fiveminutes, I FINALLY have a plan for it so yay...
His whole life had been planned out by several different people. It seemed that everyone had a different idea of what his life should be and Scorpius was never happy with any of them. His grandfather, father, teachers, the HeadMaster… All the people on the streets that would glance at him out of the corner of their eyes, cursing him for his name, whispering all the terrible things they 'knew' he would do when he was older.
He himself had no real plan, other than to hide in the shadows and hopefully become a forgotten soul, before anyone took it upon themselves to end the Malfoy legacy.
Scorpius hated his life, he hated being noticed and he hated being known for what his parents were. He felt alone… until in his fourth year when a young Albus Potter stopped him in the halls, holding gently to his wrist. He told Scorpius that he knew he was holding back his talent, that he knew he was trying to hide and suffocate himself for the sake of being left alone.
The blonde knew were this was headed and was quick to deflect the hand and the words that came with it. He wasn't going to change his mind about this, wasn't going to suddenly amaze teachers and family alike with his intelligence. He didn't care about that and neither should some kid that never talked to him. The last thing he wanted was someone with another plan for him.
But Al didn't have a plan, he made that obvious. Pulling the blonde into a gentle hug, he told him that if he wanted to hide or if he wanted to let his mind be shown… That Albus Severus Potter would always be there, wanted or not, to support Scorpius' decisions and life… If it was planned or not.
That was the first day Scorpius' plan began… It started with love and unexpected tears.
