Eugene Tries To Bake
Eugene Fitzherbert awoke bright and early, a little too early infact, Rapunzel was still asleep. The reason why he was up so early was because he wanted to surprise her. Making his way to the 'empty' kitchen he started to grab all the ingredients to make a set of cupcakes.
"Lets see... sugar, two cups of flour butter and 2 eggs." he said looking at the recipe book. He usually didn't follow instructions.
He put all the ingredients in a bowl and started mixing them...
Rapunzel awoke with a yawn. She looked over to Eugene's side of the bed to find him not there. Frowning she got up and decided to search for him. "Why good morning princess." a maid greeted as she stepped outside her bedroom door.
Rapunzel smiled back. "Have you seen Eugene?."
The maid frowned. "Try the kitchen, I heard some saying he was there baking".
'baking?' Rapunzel thought. 'that would be the first'. With that she made her way there.
"Eugene? You here?" she asked.
It turned out Eugene was a bad cook! He couldn't do simple cupcakes! "Yeah.. I'm.. I'm here." Eugene said sighing. He really wanted to surprise her. The kitchen was a mess! Icing was everywhere!
Rapunzel stepped in and giggled. Eugene had icing all over him. "What's all this?."
Eugene smiled nervously, "Hi blondie, I wanted to work on my baking skills" he said explaining. He at least managed to make one cupcake right. "Surprise?" he said chuckling nervously holding it out.
Rapunzel rolled her eyes playfully. Taking it out of his hands she took a bite. Her eyes widened "This is delicious!".
Eugene frowned. "What?".
"Eugene this is delicious! Better than the ones I do."
Eugene sighed relieved. "I'm glad you like it." He was relieved she liked it, he might not have been a good baker but it turned out he could do cupcakes right at least.
