Chapter 1
Lillie was walking towards to the doors that lead to professor Sycamore's laboratory. She had to pick up a test sample of some kind of pokemon's DNA back to professor Kuki, who couldn't go because of attending a meeting with other professors and researchers from the Unova and Kanto regions.
She walked through the front gate gate and knocked on the door. She held her bag close and waited for a minute until the doors opened and showed the assistant of professor Sycamore.
"Hello, um Lillie?" Dexio said in a unsure tone. Lillie only nodded and could see that a wave of relief went over Dexio, which seemed nervous and a little embarrassed.
"Ok, please take a sit and wait for me to get the pokemon samples." Dexio gestured for Lillie to come sit down on one of the couches they had in the front room. As soon as Lillie sat down, Dexio hurried over to the lab to get the samples. Lillie relaxed for a bit and noticed that the TV was on. There she saw a boy with auburn eyes, jet black messy hair, wearing a blue and white shirt with a black undershirt, had a red cap with a line of white doing a rainbow shaped form and gray pants. The boy seemed deep in the battle as he battled another trainer that she recognized was Alain. A ex-research assistant of professor Sycamore.
Lillie thought that the boy fighting Alain had no chance, she knew that Alain had mega evolution on his side and took notice of the other boy not having a keystone or ring. She was assured that the battle was over as Alain took out his charizard. Lillie took her eyes off the screen and wondered what was taking so long for the samples. She was bored out of her mind until she saw something that was at the corner of her eye. She saw the greninja the boy had, just mega evolved. Her eyes widen. She paid more attention to it until she heard a loud door open and close and saw Dexio return with the samples.
"Please excuse me for the long wait, the pokemon were being trouble makers and nearly made me drop the samples. Luckily I was able to advert their attention to their poke food. Anyway, here are the samples." Lillie took the samples. A loud explosion can be heard as the battle at the Kalos league finale was taking place. "Who's that boy?" Lillie questioned as she pointed to the trainer that was battling Alain. "Oh thats Ash Ketchum, he is quite the trainer. He is able to mega evolve his greninja because of the bond they have. It's very impressive." Dexio stated as she saw that Lillie took an interest in him.
"Ash Ketchum." Lillie said quietly. She then turned to Dexio, said thank you and left to the airport where she would travel back to the Alola region. On the way out she thought about Ash. How was he able to mega evolve a pokemon just out of pure bond. How would he be with a Z ring. Those 2 questions kept in her mind. But she was sure for about two things. She would have something to tell her friends about and professor Kuki will be surprised. As Lillie walked out of the gates and into the streets of Kalos. A froakie went over to Lillie and as the water pokemon got near, Lillie jumped and yelped. She always was scared of pokemon. She walked away from the froakie and called for a cab.
As she got to the airport and went on the plane. She kept on thinking about Ash. All of the suddenly, a tremendous explosion occurred on the Lumious tower. Everyone on the plane saw beams starting to shoot out. Lillie looked back and saw a man standing on the tower. But he also seemed to be fighting someone. She looked closer before the plane it went out of her line of sight. She saw the boy she was thinking about. She saw Ash.
