Hawkfrost's POV
Hawkfrost stared up at his brother, in amazement.
"You, you killed me!" He managed to choke out.
But, Brambleclaw just looked down at him with sad eyes
"I…I…I didn't mean to, Hawkfrost!"
Hawkfrost tried to drag himself away,
but collapsed with his haunches in the lake.
Hawkfrost's last words were mumbled to himself.
"I thought we were brothers."

Brambleclaw's POV
Brambleclaw stared down at his dying brother then, out of shame, he looked at his paws.
He gasped as he saw his brother's blood, sticky on his own paws.
He looked back at Hawkfrost, who wasn't there anymore.
Brambleclaw wanted to yowl his pain to the forest, but would Squirrelflight be angry?
"She couldn't be, he is my brother!"
But, as Brambleclaw dug to free his leader, one thought crossed his mind,
"I thought we were brothers."
