Amber's life just fell out from under her feet. She lost Miss Hairspray, one of the greatest things in her life. No more boyfriend, no more dancing on the show, no more cushy life. She lost her dreams, her future, and her hope.
Everyone was buzzing around with excitement that no one seemed to notice her. Amber stocked off to pack her things and leave the Corny Collins show forever.
She thought she was alone as she packed her things she could hear the noise dwindling as everyone headed home.
As she packed the last of her things she turned around and was greeted by Corny. She tried to move past him but he stood in her way. Before she could think of a witty remark Corny pulled her into a hug. In that moment, for the first time since the end of the pageant Amber felt hope for the future.
