I like to envision the possibility of what would happen if Sonic developed a crush.
The loud motor of the plane blocked out the small sigh let out by a young fox cub. His best friend hadn't talked to him on the ride towards their destination, and not a word was muttered on the ride back either.
"Sonic?" The fox called out to his friend behind him, sitting in the seat, which was rare for him.
The hedgehog hadn't uttered a word, but only stared out at the clouds as they had passed them.
"Sonic?" The boy spoke in a louder tone and tried to capture his friends attention.
"Is something wrong?" He looked behind him to see the older boy with a blank face. "This is so out of character for you to not speak. Surely something is bothering you. I'm here to speak, if you want to, that is." The cub gently spoke to his friend.
The hedgehog still hadn't opened his mouth.
"Maybe I should've brought Amy along. She would've made you spill the beans already." The child giggled to himself, but heard the hedgehog uncomfortably shift in his position.
"So this is about Amy?" He looked at his friend with a sly grin, but the cobalt hedgehog only rolled his eyes.
"Alright, spill it. What has she done? Is she annoying you?" The teenager only shook his head slowly.
"It's hard to say." The hedgehog whispered.
"I think I'll understand." The cub slowly landed the plane into the pathway.
"She's... doing things to me." He stuttered.
"Things? Like what?" The fox started to feel uncomfortable and wanted to leave the conversation as fast as possible, but his friend was there for him, why not help him for once?
"Things that I'm not used to. That I'm not good with." He paused for a slight moment. "I think she made me like her." He itched his ear in a bashful motion, and averted his eyes from his younger brother like figure.
The fox hadn't said anything in return, but only placed a small smirk upon his pearly muzzle.
"She made you love her?" He inched closer.
"I thought it was impossible." The hedgehog replied.
"Sonic, that's not how it works."
"How what works?"
The fox paused for a moment.
"I think I understand what's happening."
