Everyday I see your face

I wish for the same thing

Over and over.

Why can't I take his place?

Why can't you fall for me instead?

Can't you be mine

Even if it's just tonight.

Can we take the risk?

There has to be something more to this.

Everyday I wish for you

Don't you see that this how it should be.

You and me

Us against the world.

Everyday I'll wish for you

Maybe one day my wish will come true.

Ever since Haruka had heard the gorgeous voice of the stranger, she couldn't get him out of her mind. He was like a flame, burning bright in her memory. With his fiery red hair, and his red/brown eyes, he really was like a flame. Untouchable, and certainly unforgettable.

She sighed, picking up her books. She'd come to the beach everyday after she'd heard the boy singing, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. She walked towards her car, her red hair blowing in the wind.

A sudden gust of wind made the paper she was holding fly out of her hand. She went to retrieve it, but it was carried away by the wind once again. After a few failed attempts, she saw a hand pick it up. When she looked up, the boy she'd been looking for met her eyes.

"Thank you," she said shyly.

"It's no problem!" the boy smiled.

As Haruka thought of something to say, he introduced himself.

"I'm Ittoki. What's your name?"

"I'm Haruka."

He grinned at her.

"You have a beautiful name."

That statement caused her to blush and look to the ground.

"I-I think your singing is beautiful." she stammered.

Now, it was his turn to blush and look away.

"You heard that?" he asked.

She nodded.

He looked to the ocean and then back to her.

They parted ways and promised to see each other soon.

After a few months of knowing each other, they'd started to really talk.

One day, Ittoki took her hand and led her to a private spot on the beach.

"We go to school together, you know." he told her.

"We do?"

"Yes. I bet you didn't notice though, with all of those boys chasing after you."

She made a face and sighed.

"None of them matter," she said.

"W-Well… That song is for you." he said, his face almost as red as his hair.

She looked at him, eyes connecting with his.

"Really? It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard."

"You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." he replied.

She took his hand and smiled.

"Thank you," she whispered, laying her head on his shoulder.

He hesitantly kissed her cheek.

She threw her arms around his neck and pulled his face to hers.

He kissed her sweetly and smiled into the kiss.

As they pulled back, Haruka began to sing his song - her song - their song
