A/N: Prompt: "iamspookygroot: cs prompt- hook holding his newborn daughter."
So this is my first ever prompt fic! YAAAY! But it's also not perfect, I am well aware there are issues but overall I am happy with it and I don't want to change anything at the moment. Little short and sweet ^.^

He was someone who never thought he'd find a home, someone who sailed a ship because it was the very opposite of permanent. He always found ways to fill the loss of purpose in his life; with Liam it was adventure and rebellion, with Milah it was revenge.
But this time he realised he would always have a purpose in his life and that made him smile in a way he had never smiled before, an odd warm sensation running through his body. There was never any doubt that he'd found a home here, not in Storybrooke or the Enchanted Forest, but with Emma. Emma was his home. And now so was someone new.
It was if he was magnetised to the small body cradled in his arms, as if there was no way he could ever leave it. Leave her.
Whale announced it was a girl just seconds after she'd been born and after a quick wipe down she'd been put straight into Emma's arms. Emma looked like she'd been to hell and back, but the moment the small child was given to her, no bags under her eyes could be seen, no tear stained cheeks, just a pure gold smile.
And then she'd insisted Killian hold the baby, Killian who had no idea what he was doing; never having held a baby before. He'd spluttered something about not knowing how to, but Whale had just rolled his eyes and held the baby forwards.
Something about this child made his heart control his head and somehow his arms found their way into exactly the right position.
The tiny little girl wiggling her new fingers and toes, stared up with wonder at the man whose arms were holding her, her blue eyes mirroring the ones before her and her little hand clasped at his.

"Hello lass…" Killian cooed softly, pressing a kiss on her forehead.

Emma laughed, an exhausted but happy laugh. It was a rare kind of laugh, the genuinely satisfied kind, and it made Killian laugh too.
"What should we call her?" Emma asked, rolling onto her side to look at her fiancé and daughter. "I thought about Milah but I didn't want it to be too painful for you."

"It's kind of you lass," Killian sighed. "To think of me I mean… But no, Milah is not quite right for this one. She deserves her own name as she deserves to make her own way in the world."

"Yeah." Emma smiled approvingly. "Maybe we should let Henry name her?"
"The boy is rather excellent at naming things." Killian agreed. "And this is one very special thing, I'm sure he will have exactly the right name planned out already."

"She's so quiet." Emma noticed, her smile softened with another fond gaze.
Killian adjusted his arms a little, watching the thoughts pass through his daughter's eyes. "No need to worry, I believe she is merely taking it all in, so to speak." He replied, gently rocking her.

"Yeah…" Emma breathed, her eyes flitting shut.

Killian walked over to the woman he loved and placed the girl he loved down beside her, watching Emma's arms instinctively wrap around the child. He pulled the hospital covers over the pair of them and pressed a kiss to each of their heads, taking in the unfamiliar sensation of overwhelming joy and love, something he never dreamed he'd have.

A/N: Write in the review box what you think they should name the baby ;)
