"I can't believe you're making me do this."

"It's for one night!"

"Yeah, and then one night will turn into week nights!"

Thea rolled her eyes. "Roy, Oliver doesn't hate you that much. And he obviously trusts you enough to actually let you be here tonight. Plus, Felicity would kill us both before letting us babysit her daughter for more than one night."

Roy scowled. "I hate it when you're right."

Thea just laughed.

"She needs feeding every three hours or so, her diapers are in her room in the top draw by her crib-"

"Felicity-"

"-and don't let her sleep for more than two hours because she'll be havoc after midnight -"

"-Felicity, we got it-"

"-and she doesn't like bedtime stories or songs, she'll just nod off eventually-"

"Felicity!"

Startled, Felicity stopped talking. Oliver was fighting a losing battle with himself, trying not laugh at his wife and wake the sleeping baby in his arms.

Moaning, Felicity covered her face with her hands. "Gahhh, I'm sorry. I just- this is the first time-"

"Hey." Thea smiled, hugging her sister-in-law tightly, "Lils will be fine with us, I promise."

"This is the only time I'm ever trusting either of you with something." Oliver warned, carefully handing Lily-Mae to Roy.

"Comforting." Rolling his eyes, Roy took the sleeping tot into his arms and rocked her gently. Glancing over, he met Felicity's eyes and smiled. "Honestly, Felicity, we'll be fine. She'll be fine."

Felicity chewed her lip, eyes trained on her daughter. "Well..."

Thea huffed. "Right. You two. Go. Have the night to yourselves and have fun. We're gonna be here when you get back."

It was twenty minutes before she actually managed to shoo the couple out the door.

The TV was on. He was laying on the coach with Thea covering him. Lily was curled up in her crib, sleeping after nearly two hours of the pair trying to get her to settle. Roy had made a passing comment that she slept like a turtle. Thea had whacked him over the head.

Tonight had made him think, though. About the future. His and Thea's future, to be exact. It was sending his mind into over-drive.

"What're you thinking about?" Sleepily, Thea turned her head to look at him.

"Mmm?"

"I can practically hear you thinking, Roy."

Roy laughed. "Just...stuff. The future."

"Like what?" Thea challenged, resting her chin on her arms.

He paused. "What would happen if I ever had kids."

Thea smiled at him. "Depends what the girlfriend thinks."

"Yeah, that too." Roy laughed when Thea swatted him playfully and pressed a kiss to his lips.

"Maybe, someday." She whispered fondly.

"That's a yes?" Roy asked, genuinely surprised.

"I said maybe." Thea laughed. Roy ran his hands up and down her sides, rubbing their noses together. He kissed her again.

"Then 'maybe' is good enough for me."
