Hello loves :) Sorry this isn't the most cheery piece, but I hope you still enjoy it!
The Dressmaker
She slowly walked down the aisle in time with the jovial piano. The white bouquet was clasped tightly between her hands and the redhead's nervous grin showed through her attempt to be serious.
Uryuu didn't care about the break in formality. Orihime Inoue, soon to be of a different name, looked stunning. The delicate white fabric hugged her torso and flared out around her legs to form an almost magical silhouette.
He felt a swell of pride in his chest as she took her place before the altar and looked earnestly at the man in front of her. His suit as well was made of only the most exquisite materials; Uryuu had made sure of that.
He almost couldn't believe it when she stood before him, just months ago. After such a long time apart, he had thought himself the luckiest man in the world when he heard she wanted to see him again.
Uryuu put a hand to his heart at the memory. Her eyes were brimming with happy tears and she looked just as beautiful as he remembered. His own heart had almost burst with emotion at the request. The agreement was swift, refusal had never even been an option.
When priest finally began his speech, he turned away. This part would be too painful, too heart-breaking.
Uryuu refused to watch the love of his life marry another man.
Instead, he stayed just to watch her walk down the aisle in his masterpiece, his only custom creation, the first and last wedding dress he would ever make, and then left.
The old friend, the reject - just the dressmaker - brushed tears from his eyes as he escaped the church.
