A.N. Sasuke and Naruto back at the valley of the end. This is just a clearing of the mind and needing to get something down on a page sort of a story.

So. They were back to were all of the pain had culminated. So there they were, staring at each other. This time with different emotions and thoughts. This time with different motives.
"You have been on my mind."
Eye brows raised, questioning face turned upward like before.
"Since…"
The uncharacteristically silent staring up at the uncharacteristically talkative.
"You made all of the difference."
Feet shuffling forward, pulling them together, gazes still locked.
"Time had found the faults in me."
At this a small, saddened smile slipped across the features of the fair headed one. He gazed back with encouraging, unwavering eyes. He had many questions to ask, many things that he wanted to say, but knowing that if spoken, like a frightened bird, his raven, would simply fly away forever. So he stilled his longings of the present to hold onto the stronger desire of the past and the future so close within his grasp.
"It was hard to be honest."
Dark eyes closed, pain lurking, shimmering in those windows of the welling soul. Memories, thoughts, prayers, and obsessions played in stark black and white in the tattered mind.
"But it didn't change who you are in me…what you are to me."
Eyes opened, brimming with moisture and hopeful happiness.
"You are the one, who defines me. In you, I find life worth living for. When I feel alone, you remind me the way you have made all the difference."
Smiles meeting for the first time in this barren place mirrored the hope found in the souls of them. But their eyes, showing fulfillment of the moment of reconciliation shadowed even the sun that day.
The End had started out as a finishing what had been begun long before, now was fulfilling the beginning of The Way of the Ninja that many would come to know in time.
The fair looked at the dark and held his palm in joyous, welcoming surrender.
"If there was one thing I could give for all of time, one thing to repay everything.
There is nothing that will compare to the humility your bore and the blood you shed."
Tow colored locks swayed with the slow shaking of the head of the azure eyes. They looked deep and finally spoke:
"It was enough."
Confusion sparked and flooded between the two.
"You are back. It was enough."
