Dawson is lying in bed thinking: I have known Joey all of my life. We've
been through so much together. I just don't understand why things ended up
this way. We're still just friends! I have to go to her. I have to be on
that next flight tomorrow morning. This is just ridiculous! We're meant
to be together. She should have found herself by now!
Boston: Dawson is getting ready to knock on Joey's door at her dorm
Okay Dawson you can do this. He gets ready to knock. Wait you have to check your hair. If I'm going to confess my undying love, I have to look good. He runs a comb over his hair, and whips out a breath mint.
Knock, Knock..
"Just a minute." The door opens. There is a smiling Joey, looking as perfect as ever. Dawson's swears he sees her teeth sparkle. "Dawson, what a wonderful surprise," she says as he gives him a great big hug. She gets a whiff of something coming from his arm pits. Oh well, it's no worse than usual.
"Joey, I have something very important to tell you and I'm not leaving until I tell you everything." Dawson barges his way into her dorm room. Joey shuts the door, and gestures him toward the bed. She is curious in what he has to tell her. She gazes at him with great intensity. Dawson takes a moment to collect himself. He gathers his thoughts. He doesn't want to screw this up.
"Joey.you're a great girl. I mean you're awesome, beautiful, smart. You've been my best friend. I've known you all of my life. You've been there for me through thick and thin. I just wanted to tell you.All of a sudden Charlie walks in.
"Joey, oh.hi Dawson. He looks back to Joey. "Are you ready for our date."
Dawson is dumbfounded. "You seeing this guy Joe?" She blushes and nods. "What the heck for. Look at him." Charlie looks offended. He checks himself out. Smells, his shirt, his armpits, shrugs it off.
"Charlie, cutie pie, can you please give us a moment alone." Joey asks sweetly. Cutie pie? Why would she want a cutie pie when she can have a stud muffine like me? Dawson's dumbfounded.
"Sure thing babe." Charlie exits.
"Okay Dawson, what do you have on your mind." Joey sits down beside him. She looks at him with her big, brown, chocolate brown eyes. Eyes that someone can lose themselves in, eyes that can make a person what they're about to say.
Does Dawson confess his undying love? Or does he get lost in Joey's eyes and forgets what he is about to say. Or does he passionately kiss her? Maybe he realizes he doesn't smell too good and decides it isn't the best time to tell her he loves her. Find out, next time on Meg's Point of View.
