Warmth had a way of seeping into his bones and all he could see was her.
She was his kind other half; she was his light that was so much purer and brighter than the flames that he'd inherited.
Shiemi was his everything, and everyday only made that clearer.
He watched her, feeling her exhaustion seep through his bones as well; she was his inspiration after all she was always impossibly strong as she continuously pushed herself to be stronger, and she'd given him a chance despite his bloodline.
Shiemi was pure and loving; what ever did he do to deserve her?
He was reckless, tended to struggle in school, and had a bit of a temper once you angered him yet she was gentle and sweet and very, very strong.
She had always been willing to listen to him and had proven that there could be people out there that will love unconditionally despite anything that would scare most people away about you.
Shiemi was his hidden pool of strength on his weakest days and his loving center of warmth whenever he was around her; she made him feel better.
He loved her.
Rin loved her more than anything; nothing could swallow this feeling up and destroy the remnants of it as she gave him a reason to never give up and to keep trying, because her love shown that despite everything, he'd always be worth at least a little regardless of his blood and that one could always grow stronger like she did everyday.
He smiled as he watched her relax further in her sleep, and he'd count his blessings much farther than the stars could reach if she was dreaming of him, but he'd still count them quite far even if she wasn't, because she was here, by his side, and was one to never give up hope on anyone ever.
Rin knew that he was unbelievably lucky to have met someone like her and for her to love him so much this way as well; he never would have guessed that he'd be able to find someone that lit up his world so beautifully and believed in him always.
There would be fighting and arguments and the pain of scars from the past on their hearts, but they both knew that they'd always work hard to stay together out of the love that grew ever brighter in their hearts day by day.
Life wasn't always easy, but they still knew they'd make it through together as love was not born a quitter.
