Hello, everyone! Yes, I know, you are all probably going to kill me, but I swear, it'll be worth it!
Okay, this idea came to,me last night, and I was hoping to seek some council from you guys about it. My poll on my profile says you want an HTTYD next gen. story (at least the two that voted did), so here you go! different from what I imagined, but still! Not mindless plotless related oneshots! (no offence, httydfan1991! I love your work!) This actually has some plot, so here you go!
This is basically the Prolouge, but, not really, it's short, though. I came up with this on short notice.

Valerie was sitting on her bed, looking out the large window. As Daughter of the Chiefs, the first in over 70 years no less, daughter of Hiccup Haddock, she was a princess, treated with respect and kindness and reverence.
Or at least, that's how a normal viking princess's life should be.
Valerie was, apparently, the exception.
Her parents and twin brother tried to help her live a normal life, but...
Is, no one acknowledging your presence when you walk into a room, no one looking directly into your eyes, ignoring you (except for a few, of course), a normal life?
It was for her.
Valerie looked down at her hands, warching the flames as they rose from her right palm, as well as the frost that formed on her fingertips and small snowflakes appear on her left.
She closed her palms, stopping her powers as she heard a knock on her door.
"Come in."
The person tried to open the door, but it seemed as though they had run into it.
"Uhh...sis?" The voice came from outside.
Valerie looked up at the door, and realized she accidentally froze it shut.
"Oh." She drew out her left hand and unfroze the door. "Okay, now you can come in."
Her brother came in without another delay and sat down next to her.
"How're you doing?"
Valerie shrugged. "Better, I guess."
"That's good. Your powers?"
"They seem to have a mind of their own today."
"Well, that's how it goes sometimes. and I expected anything less than some unpredictability from my little twin." Her brother ruffled her dull red hair, making her silver colored eyes shine.
"Oh, cut it out, Finn!" she nudged him off to the side playfully, before he rested his arm around her shoulders.
"Come on. I think Mom and Dad need to talk with us."
The fourteen year old rolled her eyes. "I can't possibly imagine what for," she drawled, standing up.
Just another long, long day.
...did you like it? didyoulikeitdidyoulikeit?
If this story gets enough favs, follows and reviews (10 at least), I might continue on. Thanks again, guys!
