"Lady Morgiana…"

Two figures stood alone on the shore, the loud waves brushing against their toes. The orange sun stuck to the distant ocean horizon, creating a calm mood. The silhouetted bodies sat down at the edge of the rising and falling tide.

"Yes, Hakuryuu?"

The smaller of the two—a young girl—turned her head towards the other. The boy's cheeks were lightly flushed, but regained their original colour after a deep breath.

"I…I just uh…I promised that I…"

"What is it?"

Hakuryuu pulled at the collar of his garments, suddenly feeling like it was suffocating him. Shakily sighing, the young man stood and stretched his arms, then knelt on both knees in front of Morgiana.

"L-Lady Morgiana, I have told you this once, but I will say it again.

"You are a magnificent woman. You're strong, yet gentle, and amazingly beautiful. Everything a sane man would want.

"Ever since that day, the day on this exact beach, on an afternoon just like this, with you…I've been in love with you. I will be for the rest of the days I breathe and beyond.

"Will you, my ally, my friend, my guardian, my love, take the job of caring for me when hurt, staying by my side when things aren't the greatest, protecting me while I protect you, helping me when in need of assistance, and most of all, becoming my wife?"

The anxious boy held his breath as he was met by silence. He feared that, once again, he would be greeted by the cold hard slap of rejection.

Although it didn't matter to him.

Morgiana mumbled, her head turned away from him. Hakuryuu leaned in a little and asked her to repeat what she said. She moved her head so that she was once again staring into his unevenly shaded blue eyes. The redhead's eyes were glistening with tears, the type unknown. The corners of her mouth slightly angled up and her eyes closed, the watery eyelashes shining with sunlight. The sight itself brought a blush to the one beside her.

"You already know I will care for you, as much as you do for me. I always have and always will stay by your side, no matter how bad things get—be it someone, something, or just a rough stop in our relationship. I've become so accustomed to protecting you that I would forever blame myself if you are put in an unnecessary position. If you ever need a helping hand, know that I am here for you."

The one proposing shifted in his spot, sweat gathering at his hands. "And? I think you have forgotten something."

The two walked through the dark streets, their trained feet making hardly any noise on the concrete slabs underneath them.

Their hands knotted together. They both had shy smiles on their faces, flushing whenever their eyes made contact.

One thought ran though Hakuryuu's mind every step he took, every breath he made.

"I can't believe she said yes."

A/N: Hey, guys. So, I'm sorry if this fanfic was unclear to anyone, but this is supposed to be Hakuryuu proposing to Morgiana for the second time. If you didn't know that he proposed to her already, don't blame me. This happened in the manga, and if you want to see it, I suggest you just go and read it.

Anywho, thanks for reading! ^_^
