Chapter 1: Picture

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Inuyasha in any way, shape or form.

Kagome's hair splayed over the soft cotton pillow as she tossed her head to the right while she slept. The light spilled through the blinds which covered her only window. Her eyes flashed open when a ray of light found it's way to her head. She squinted and pulled her hands from under the covers to rub the sleep from her eyes.

Pushing the covers away, she swung her feet over the side of the bed and stood up. She walked to the bathroom closed and locked the door, peeled off her pajamas, and stepped into the shower. Kagome turned the knobs and waited for the water to spray from the shower head. It didn't take long for Kagome turn the hot water knob more.

After twenty minutes Kagome walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped firmly around her body. She went to her closet and pulled out a blue halter top and light faded jeans. In the dresser beside the closet, she pulled out a white lacy bra with matching underwear. Within a minute, Kagome was dressed.

Before walking out of her room, Kagome saw a picture on the old wooden desk. She smiled, it took many tries to get everyone from the Feudal Era to look straight at the camera. Miroku stood by Sango, holding his reddened cheek. Inuyasha, of course, was face-first in the ground for hitting Shippou. Kirara, the most adorable but ferocious cat youkai, was perched on Sango's shoulder. The picture was taken two day's before the demise of Naraku, and when Kagome disappeared from her Feudal friends forever.

A tear slipped down Kagome's flawless face. She missed her friends dearly. It had been seven years since she saw them.

She was now twenty five and a millionaire. Her series of books, 'Feudal Era Adventures', were a big hit all over the world. She told of her adventures, the characters names altered in case history records were found, if there had been any.

Her cellphone rang. Looking at the caller ID, she found the number unfamiliar. She decided not to answer and slid the cellphone back into her jeans pocket. The ringing stopped, and after a minute another ringing noise alerted her of a voice mail. She pulled the phone back out of her pocket, opened her phone, and listened to the voice mail.

"Um, I don't know if I have the right number. But if I do, this must be the author of, 'Feudal Era Adventures.' You don't know me, but my name's Kouga. I read your book's and I found them amazing. I was just wondering how you knew so much about the Feudal Era. Please give me a call back. Thanks."

Kagome was beyond shocked. Is this some kind of cruel joke?

She quickly went to her recent calls, trying to find the number he had called her with. When she found the number, she was anxious and frightened. Anxious for the called could be real, and frightened because the caller could be fake. She would never know unless she got some straight answers.

She pressed the "Call" button on her phone and waited for an answer.

"Hello?"

I love reviews :) Thanks for reading!
