Selina's POV
Selina walked onto the grounds of Camp Half-Blood and toke a deep breath. This was one of the hardest things that she has ever done. She walked into the Athena cabin. "Is Annabeth Chase in here?"
Annabeth's POV
"I'm right here," I yelled. I was in the bathroom starting to fix up a little before the ball tonight.
"What are you doing here?"
Selina's POV
I toke a deep breath. "Can I talk to you outside?"
Annabeth's POV
I just looked at her. She looked like something terribly wrong is happening.
"Sure," I replied.
Selina's POV
I toke Annabeth outside. "Annabeth, your father..you father...is dead. Voldemort..Voldemort murdered him." A tear ran down my face.
Annabeth's POV
I couldn't help but cry. I rarely ever cried but right now I had to. I never knew my dad. Well I did we just never really got along me being a demigod and everything. I don't understand why he did that. My dad was what I need besides Percy of course.
" I have to go," I said to Selina. She just looked at me but I knew she understood.
Selina's POV
"He put up a good fight, but with being only mortal, he couldn't do much." I said as she was turning away. I hesitated for a moment before saying it. "Voldemort is after demigod parents because he thinks it will crush them more then anything. Then that would give the wizards less power against him."
Annabeth's POV
"Atleast he died a hero," I responded. "Because he will always be my hero." I knew what we had to do. I promised Percy we would go to the ball but after that I'm gonna find this guy and I'm gonna kill him.
Selina's POV
"Could you warn the other demigods? Just so they know?" But by the looks of it, half the camp already knew. Everyone was crowed around us.
Annabeth's POV
"Yeah I will" I sniiffled. I was walking back to my cabin. Everyone could tell that didn't know yet that something was wrong. Percy walked up to me.
"Whats wrong my love?" he asked.
"Some stupid wizard dude just killed my dad," I replied. Without even thinking I ran off. I know your suprised, I didn't think. I ran to t...he beach. Being the daughter of Athena you usually wouldn't like the beach but I do. Of course Percy found me.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. I just layed my head on his shoulder and started crying even more.
Selina's POV
The other demigods just stared at me while Annabeth ran off. "There's nothing to see here people." I told them. But, they didn't move. I ran after Annabeth and saw her crying on Percy's shoulder. I came up and hugged Annabeth. "I didn't want to be the one to tell you, but they thought that we were the closest friends."
Annabeth's POV
I couldn't believe this has happened. I thought. Well even though I was in so much rage, I have to get ready for the Demigod ball that I will happily be accompanied by Mr. Percy Jackson, the love of my life and the guy of my dreams.
