Percy Pov

"Oh my gods, really Percy?!" Annabeth yelled as I pushed her into the pool. " I'm going to kill you!"

" Awww, is wittle Annie-beth afraid of getting wet. Besides, this is my 12th birthday and I am gonna do anything I want to do!" I replied, making a face .

" After 7 years of knowing you, I will never get used to your Seaweed brain behavior." Annabeth replied as she started to float on her back. I just couldn't stop myself from staring at her beautiful face. Her grey eyes. Her triumphant smile that lights up any room that she's in. Her stereotypical California tan. Shake yourself out of it, I think to myself, a girl like Annabeth will never like you back. You should be grateful to be her best friend.

I sigh, bringing myself from my own thoughts, " You know you love me, Wise Girl!" I put on my brave cocky face.

Annabeth hesitated, then was about to reply when a voice interrupted her, " EEEEEEEKKKKKKk! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! They're in love! Do you see Charlie!"

Annabeth mumbled under her breath, " Oh Styx its Silena." Right then we see some of our friends walk by. " Oh gods they're all here." We counted eleven, and was confused because three of them were missing.

Silena saw our confused faces and said cheerfully " Piper and Jason are making out somewhere and Leo probably staring at a picture of Calypso here." When Silena pointed to Calypso, Calypso blushed. Absolutely everyone knew of those twos obvious crushes on each other.

" And we are not in love" I mentally sighed and cringed " I just pushed Annabeth here into the pool." Everyone of them thinks that we are dating. We are not. As much as I wanted that to happen, it will never happen.

" Thanks for forgetting about us." Nico stated. So our friend group consists of Frank Zhang, Katie Gardner, Calypso Ogygia, Nico D'Angelo , his half sister Hazel Levesque, Thalia Grace and her brother Jason, Charles Beckondorf ( everyone always calls him Beckondorf but Silena, who calls him Charlie) and his half brother Leo Valdez, Silena Beauregard , her half sister Piper Mclean, Luke Castellan, and his twin step-brothers Conner and Travis Stoll.

" Well hello there patient children, I was just about to get to you guys in a second." I explained. " Just let me shoot Jason ..."

" What ! I personally don't what to get shot! " Obviously Jason yelled.

" I was going to say Shoot Jason a text. A text. Although now that you mentioned it..." I pretended to draw a Bow at him. As everyone laughed, I stared at Annabeth again.

Jason saw where I was staring and pulled me and Nico into my house. Only him and Nico know about my crush on Annabeth, since they are my two best guy friends.

In a desperate attempt to change the subject I blurted out " Have fun in your makeout session with Piper , Jason?" Jason blushed a maroon shade .

" Actually , I pulled you two over her to discuss," then paused when he saw where Nico was staring" Enjoying the view of my sister , Nico?" Now it was Nicos turn to blush as I tried to stifle a laugh.

" Actually, were here to talk about your girl troubles Jackson!" Jason said. I visibly deflated.

"Don't remind me Grace." I replied , sulking. As I was tuning Jason's lecture out I saw my mom and dad across the room. Saved by the parents, I thought. " Gotta go guys, my parents are looking for me !" After a chorus of goodbyes, I left to go see my parents.
