The boat rocked violently causing Carla to fall off her bed. Just as she picked herself up off the floor she herd thunder and the captain on the intercom saying a storm was about to be over us. Carla ran to the edge of the boat and checked the shoreline for any infected or the more mutated versions of them.

Surprisingly, there wasn't any by the looks of it but she would check later because the storm wasn't at its full force yet. The boat rocked even more now and she could tell it was nearly time to get take shelter within the ship. She heard screaming from the shore as the infected started to arrive.

"Poor unlucky bastard…" Carla thought to herself.

A relatively new survivor to the boat was panicking and screaming, and Carla figured it would be her job to knock some sense into him like she always did with them, but she ignored it for awhile so she could go back to sleep.

"Its times like these I wish I didn't get found by the captain's search parties." Carla quietly said to herself for third time this week. The more she stayed on this the more depressed she got. The memories of her only sister were the only ones she liked of all the memories she has had of her family. Her parents didn't care for her, sure she lived with them, but they didn't do much when she tried to run away when she was fifteen. Her sister was the only person that she cared about.

When her parents brought her home they wouldn't let her hold her because they didn't trust Carla. When she finally held her sister when she was two Carla thought she looked just like herself for awhile but that changed as soon as her sister developed a personality. They were so different when it came to their thought but the loved each other anyway.

Eventually Carla's parents tried to send Carla to a private school so she wouldn't try to, "Brainwash her sister," As her parents put it. Their plan didn't work but the kept her sister away from her as best as they could. They even locked her doors at night.

The year after the private school plan the infection hit, Carl's parents were murdered but Carla was already gone with her sister. Sure her sister slowed her down but she wouldn't leave her behind. They made it to the shores where they were safe for awhile but a storm had hit and caused the infected to charge the shoreline. The only way to escape was by water. Her sister couldn't swim but she wouldn't leave her .

They saw a boat in the distance and Carla swam as hard as she could to get there. She made as I'm sure you can tell, but a little more than half way they heard a screech and something grabbed her sister and pulled her away from Carla under the water. She wanted to go after her sister, she even went under to get her but she was pulled to far away to retrieve. She made it but she didn't want to be there anymore.

Screams… that was all she heard for the rest of her short life.
