I pray at the City of the Ancients in a hidden area, and notice a few of my companions walking towards where I am, but I don't stop. I know I must carry on with my task in hope that we will be able to stop what is to come. Closing my eyes, I go into a deeper trance, focusing all my power. Thus, I don't realize that Cloud is inching towards me, his sword drawn as he tries to kill me. But Cloud.. he stops. He grabs hold of his own body and forces the evil soul out. The sword that is above me lowers, and he gazes at me. A faint breeze drifts by. I wonder what is going to happen next, and open my eyes to look at the person in front of me, just as Cloud gasps in horror as he sees something from…behind..? Too late. Sephiroth comes down, which was what had caught Cloud's attention. In that mere second, he plungs a long sword into my back, through my stomach. He pulls it out quickly, resuming a position of hovering there in the air above me. Now, I find myself falling forward, and then feel someone's arms around me. 'Cloud,' I think, 'so caring and considerate.' Sephiroth(A clone as later found out.) murmurs something and disappears, leaving the rest of the group and Cloud behind all grieving. They can't believe such a thing would…could have ever happened. I don't…. think I can feel the pain, as I know my life will end soon.., but I.. I gaze up at Cloud, wondering what he's thinking. My lips try to delicately speak those….those so important three words, but nothing comes out.

In a dream, I see you.

Your sad face draws me.

Seeing the look of horror on his face, my heart breaks. I try to reach out to him just to wipe away those unneeded tears of sorrow, but my eyes slowly close, and my arm falls limp. "Goodbye.."
