She ran, rain stinging like cold needles on her face; she didn't care. She didn't care about anything anymore. She ran farther into InuYasha's Forest, deeper.

Trees and branches reaching out at her, scrapping and cutting the porcelin skin. Blood trickled from the cuts and wove itself into the droplets of rain as she ran. She had no destination, she only hoped that this horrible pain would just fade away, like it never even happened.

She felt her foot, hook on a branch. She thrust her hands in front of herself to break her fall, but it was too late. It was dark. Pitch black.

' Make this hurt go away...' She thought, as she was thrust deeper into unconciousness.

He scented the air looking for her. The air thick with the scent of rain, and it's cleasing properties, made it hard for him to even try looking for her. He sighed to himself, regretting everything that was said in the heat of the moment.

' I would laugh at the thought of taking such a lowly thing as a human for a mate..' It was a lie. All of it, but she had heard every word of it, and tore off into the night.

'Blood' He fought an inward battle, his inner demon trying to break free, and yet his outer, trying to reamin the stoic facade. 'Her blood'.

"My Lord! I have found her!" The small imp croaked. He saw her lying, bruised and bleeding all over, unconcious. It hurt him almost physically to see her this way.

'I have hurt you in the worst of ways, I have betrayed you, and for that I am truly sorry..' He picked her up lightly, her tattered clothing falling to pieces in his hands, as he wrapped his boa around her small body.

He began to leave as Jaken once again spoke up, "Lord Sesshomaru, must we continue to sacrifice ourselves for a human girl?" Sesshomaru stood, rigid as ever, but did not turn.

'Yes.'

He rose to the sky, Rin in his arms. He would make this right once more.

A/N: Short chapter, but I promise the next one's will be longer and a lot more interesting. R&R please.
