Reflection

Rating: K+

Summary: What do you see when you look in a mirror? Sora has a conversation with Roxas about friends.

He stood in front of the mirror and checked his reflection. He looked okay. Besides, he doubted Kairi cared that much anyway. As long as he looked presentable she would be okay with him.

He sighed. Riku had left a month ago, and no one knew where he had gone. The note he had left behind said that he couldn't face the fact that he had given into the darkness and helped to nearly destroy the worlds. Whne they had first come back to Destiny Island, Sora had tried to tell him that no one would care (anyone who brought it up would have a nice chat with his Keyblade, but Sora didn't tell Riku that.)

"I just wish he would come back." Sora said as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. "Him and Kairi and me, I thought we were all friends. Together we can handle anything."

"Boy, I know how that feels." The reflection in the mirror changed, and Sora was looking at his Nobody, Roxas.

"Well, I gotta find Riku." Sora replied.

"Yeah, but at least you can find him. My best friend faded into oblivion." Roxas reminded him.

"Maybe we could bring him back." Sora suggested.

Roxas raised an eyebrow. "Is it possible to bring a Nobody back after they've faded into oblivion?"

Sora sighed. "I don't know. Maybe I can find out, though."

"I'd appreciate that."

But if you're now part of me, how are you gonna talk to him?"

"You could stand in front of a mirror." Roxas suggested.

Sora laughed.

"Or Axel can communicate with my consciousness." Roxas continued.

Sora stopped laughing. "What?"

"Never mind."

"Do you have any ideas where I can start looking for Riku?" Sora asked.

"You could try Twilight Town." Roxas suggested. "And maybe King Mickey knows how to bring a Nobody back."

"Maybe." Sora considered it. "I'll ask him about it."

"It's weird, you know? I figured if anyone knew how to bring Axel back, it would be you. I always wished I had all the answers, like you did." Roxas said.

"You're part of me, so that would mean you have all the answers I have. Besides, I don't have all the answers." Sora told him.

"Yeah, that's true. See you later, I guess."

A moment later, the reflection changed back to normal, and Sora was looking at himself. He turned and left the room, heading for the beach to meet Kairi.

T.A.R.N.S.: This little ficlet has been gathering dust in the back of my stories folder, so I decided to dust it off and post it up. I don't think it's all that great, but I'll let the reviewers decide that.

Nyoshi: So please review and tell us what you thought.
