"Uwaaaaa! Hope they don't get mad at me for being late for practice!"
Nagisa dashed down the streets soon after getting off the train. He and the others were to meet at the usual pool at their school for practice, and he just had to sleep in on a weekend. He also received a text from Rei that he could meet up somewhere and they could go together, but Nagisa offered to get some snacks for the club and meet him there along with Makoto, Haruka, and Gou. He didn't want to burden Rei of also being late, nor any other. Yet, still, what possible reaction they could have knowing he was late unexcused?
An insignia crossed the side of his sight that made him skid and step back a few steps to stand in front of a donut shop. Just seeing the donuts of various flavors displayed in the window, and seeing them handed to the customers, seeing those customers eat those donuts had just made Nagisa's mouth water. He had a major sweet tooth and heavy cravings for sweets.
"You cannot eat sweets all the time, Nagisa-kun! It's an unhealthy habit and not well for a well-balanced diet. A well-balanced diet will ensure better performance in swimming." Rei's chiding voice rattled in his mind. Nagisa couldn't help controlling his cravings and at times buying them when hungry. He wasn't a fan of eating healthy foods, such as vegetables. They may make a bento look colorful, but he just likes to eat things that look and taste delicious.
Nagisa piqued with curiousness as he spotted a young girl, hands on the windows and staring in awe at the donuts. By her tanned skin, dark hair, and unfamiliar clothing, he guessed she was a foreigner. In attempt of being friendly, he approached behind her with hands folded behind his back.
"Hello, they look tasty don't they?"
The girl turned her head to look at him with her gold eyes before they glided between him and the donuts. She pointed to the donuts repeatedly, pleading she wants some. It had took a moment for Nagisa to translate her gestures until it hit him.
"Oh! You want some donuts too?" Maybe he can buy a dozen to share among his friends. Ignoring Rei's chiding, he took the girl by the hand and entered the shop.
"You know, I was going to buy a dozen so I can share with my friends! Maybe I can share with you too?"
The girl frowned and gave him a blank, disapproving stare. "…"
"Eh? Did…did I say something wrong?"
She gestured with her hands shaping a box. She did this until Nagisa understood that she wanted a whole box to herself.
"A box? Oh! You want a box too so you can share with your friends?"
She gave a quick shrug before nodding.
Nagisa checked his wallet to see if he had enough to pay for two boxes and luckily, he did. After handing one box to the girl, she immediately hugged the boy and rubbed her cheek against his chest. Warmth rose in his cheeks from the sudden act. It had always been him to do such things with his friends, things that may seem childish. There weren't many times he acted like a big brother to anyone. This girl looked younger than him, and knowing he did something generous made him warm inside. A smile graced his lips and chuckled.
"You're welcome!"
As soon as the girl parted from him, she darted out of the shop in quick speed. Nagisa blinked and stared blankly. She was a strange girl and couldn't wait to tell his friends.
Friends…
"GAHH! I'M DEFINITELY LATE!"
He later realized he and the girl never introduced themselves.

Misty- It felt like I haven't written in weeks and been in a rut with things going on. Can't seem to settle down, get into the mood, and….write something with the right motivation and ideas.
