A\N: Welcome to the re-write of M Only Hope. I remember starting the original in my creative writing class notebook when I was 14, 6 years ago. I'd say my writing has gotten a lot better since then.

This is one of the stories I really wanted to see through to the end, but my inspiration for the original died as I got other ideas. Now I have ideas for this concept again.

Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm a big girl, I know how to take care of myself. - Me

Mei- I know, but you know the family worries about you.

They worry about all the "kids" in their life. Remember when Daiki had that job shelving books at the library.-Me

Mei- Point taken.

I've got to go now. Tell Auntie I send my love. Bye. -Me

Mei- Ok, bye!

I shove my phone back in my pocket and continue unpacking boxes. Second day in my apartment and I already have a lot of stuff done, yay. The kitchen is already set up, the bathroom is mostly done, bedroom has the basics set out, and the living room is barely anything yet, which I am currently working on.

So far I have a small couch from a secondhand store, a decent tv, small shelf\entertainment center, and dvd player (all 3 being from my room back home). Currently I am trying to put together a bookshelf for my books (duh), movies, cds, and some games I have. I'm going to have to wait for my console to be brought over from one of my siblings. I also have a laptop sitting next to me with music playing on YouTube, which is much better than sitting alone in silence.

After an hour or 2 I finally have the shelf assembled and placed it against the wall by my bedroom door. Now, time to start placing things on the shelves. Thankfully I remembered to bring the boxes that held the stuff I planned to put in the shelf into the living room with me before I started assembling the shelf. I just put things where they will fit, not caring about organization.

This is going to take a while. Why do I have so many books?

A few times I catch myself staring out the window instead of doing what I am supposed to do. The view of the forest is just so pretty, I can't help myself. Maybe I'll draw a picture of it when I have time. I'm definitely going for a walk through there sometime in the near future, maybe\hopefully this weekend.

A\N: First off, I'd like to explain some of the people mentioned that are obviously not characters from the movie. Without giving away to much from future chapters, Chihiro made friends with a girl named Mei sometime after starting her new school and ended up living with them after something happening with her parents, they sort of grew a familial type of bond over the years. Don't worry, nothing bad happened to her parents.

Sorry this chapter is on the shorter side. It is sort of more of an intro than a chapter. I promise I will try to make future chapters longer.
