I can't believe this. I have to start at another new school. Like always, I won't make any friends, but of course that won't be a problem for Sammy. He's always been better than me at socialising. He's like a social hawk (I'm not gonna say butterfly because that just weird).
I'm also stuck driving to the damn school because Dad's such a freakin douchebag he won't take three days off a hunt to help Sammy prepare for a new school. He wouldn't even bother with me.
I pull up my Impala in front of the school and turn to Sam. He looks like he's about to throw up.
'Nervous?' I ask in my comforting big brother voice.
He nods carefully and looks up at me 'What if I can't make friends?' he asks in a whisper.
I grin reassuringly, putting a hand lightly on his shoulder 'You should be worrying about me, Sammy. I'm the antisocial one.'
This seemed to lighten his spirits slightly and he smiled.
'Alright then, let's go get registered.' We both got out of the car and closed the door at the same time. We wouldn't admit it to Dad but we'd practiced (due to request of Sam).
I put my arm around Sam's shoulder and we walk up to the main office, which we have to walk through the front gates to get to. As we walk alot of kids in groups stop talking and point at us. I feel Sam move closer into my side and I pull my arm tighter around him.
After an eternity we reach the office and I walk up to the desk. There's a woman in her mid-fifties with shoulder length brown hair sitting behind the desk typing on a keyboard. I clear my throat and she looks up.
A warm smile spreads over her face and she speaks 'Are you Sam and Dean Winchester?' she asks, looking next to me at Sam.
I nodded 'Yeah.' I noticed her name tag said "Ellen Harvelle" but was cut short of looking for she stood up and walked to a small filing cabinet. She searched through for a moment before pulling out two folders.
She came back and offered me the one with my name on it, I assume she knew our ages otherwise she wouldn't know who is who. She then passed the other one to Sam and went over to an intercom.
'Could Castiel Novak and Adam Milligan come to the main office please?' she spoke in a clear voice. She turned off the intercom and turned back to Sam and me.
'Those two are going to show you around because you have the same first class. Adam will be showing Sam around, Castiel will be showing Dean.' She smiled and gestured at two chairs, meaning for us to sit down.
We each took a seat next to each other and Sam leaned on my arm while we waited. A few minutes later the doors opened and two guys walked in, one had sandy hair and was about the same age as Sam. I assumed he was Adam.
The other must have been Castiel. He had messy black hair, slight stubble and impossibly blue eyes...
Hang on... I'm not gay! Why am I thinking like that? Moving on...
Ellen stood up and came around to introduce us. 'Sam, this is Adam, he's going to show you around the school.' Adam smiled shyly and Sam did the same. I could already tell they were going to be good friends, Adam was even wearing plaid!
'And this is Castiel; he'll be showing you around, Dean.' Castiel remained expressionless mainly.
Sam stands up and walks over to Adam. Sarah-Jane nods, allowing them to leave. They walked out, talking quietly. The last thing I heard Sam say was "I like your top!"
I smiled before standing up and walking over to Castiel. Ellen waved as we left the room.
'So, Cas, what's it like around here?' I asked, trying to break the ice.
'It depends on your point of view, and please do not shorten my name.' Castiel replied in monotone.
I put my hands up in mock defence. Touchy.
