I raced my way through Knowhere, fearful.

He had begun his conquest.

We had been warned, but we had not listened.

The other aliens panicked, screaming, running, praying for a miracle.

There would be none. For every city, every planet, every being that he visited, only death followed.

I turned sharply against a corner as the Nova Corps battled whatever dark creature that was his army.

I skidded backwards, crying out in anguish as the brave heroes fell like dominoes.

I flt the ground beneath me shake and I got thrown to the side, almost tossed into the acidic goo that was Celestial fluid. I looked up as three ships caught fire, spiraling into each other.

I ducked my head as splinters of the ships rained down. I doubled my pace to the docks as he neared. I could feel the cold grip of destruction and death that emanated from him. It was as if his presence alone killed thousands of aliens.

I screamed as a young child, no more then four by the number of antennas was brutally gutted and another, older by his graying whiskers was shot point blank in the head. I wanted to help, but I knew that by escaping and finding the legendary heroes I would help more.

I made it to the docks, I leaped over people, jumping across their heads to reach my small shuttle. Luckily it was a dark midnight blue with tinted windows and a silent engine. I would hopefully escape undetected.

I jumped in, ignoring typical protocols as I jetted outside.

I gunned my tiny shuttle towards Andromeda and beyond that, the planet Terra. Feeling relieved that I had escaped I looked behind me at the massive Celestial head.

Only to see it erupt in green and purple flames. The force of the blast pressed against my ship and I tumbled into the empty void.

I blinked, waking up uncertainly from the shock of the explosion. I screamed and scooted back in my shuttle.

A large and dangerous looking ship in the shape of a scythe waited in front of me and I knew it was him.

The ship's gravity beam pulled me in. Struggle as I did, fight as hard as I could, nothing could prevent my fate. The soldiers, garbed in black scaled armor with deadly spears threw me into a large room where a massive floating chair was.

I gasped for breath, sweating profusely, I couldn't even count my fingers I shook so badly. I stared at the ground as the whir of the chair began and he turned to face me.

"Rat," He growled, "Did you think you would escape me?"

I squeaked, his voice was booming thunder, viscous and cold, I refused to face him, in fear of the terror.

"Where did you think you would hide?" He threatened, "Where could you go that I would not find you?"

I tried to speak, to plead and beg for mercy, but nothing came to my lips. Only a terrified squeak from my cowering frame.

"I know of your legends, rat." He sneered, "I know of the paltry insects that are Terrans."

I froze, shocked at his knowledge. How could he have known? Only a handful of trusted individuals knew of the legends? If he knew then there was nothing anyone could do. He could have them killed now for all I knew. If they were even to exist. I began to look up, fearful of him and lost at what remained of my mission, my life.

"I am the only being you need to plead for," His voice was deep and haunting, "Your legends will be nothing but blood upon the stars."

Just as I laid my eyes on the gleaming gauntlet on his left hand, I suddenly saw darkness.
