The child is in an orphanage
And all she has is a letter with her mother's name
So she writes a letter to 'santa'
Asking Santa all she wants for Christmas is to see her mom
And say the mailman
Knows the girls mom
So he delivers the letter to her
And as the mom walks to the orphanage, (miles away)
She gets caught in the Christmas Eve blizzard
And the mom stays behind a building to try to keep out of the blizzard
She hears a bell but doesn't know from where
It strikes 10 times resembling 10pm
She can't see in front of her
Only the wall behind her
So she starts following the wall
Until she hits the corner
And seeing no other way to go in sight
She walks randomly into the snow
She thinks she's walked for hours
Until she hears the bell ring 11 times
And she thinks she's closer to it
But she can't tell as her ears have frozen
And then she slips on the ice below the snow, twisting her ankle
She screams in pain but cannot be heard over the storm
As she lays there in pain she thinks she can hear her daughter calling her name,
The bell rings again... 12 times
She can't feel her body
And she sleeps
She doesn't wake
The bell rings 7 times
The children in the orphanage awake
They open the doors for Christmas service
And one little girl screams "mommy!"
As the woman died
She had a letter in her hand
With her daughters name
