I remember doing this for last Halloween and now realizing how weird it was for two teenagers. But has two little kids it was perfect.

"Hime-chan, why are we here again?" Little Ichigo asked his friend Orihime, looking over the vast pumpkin patch they were currently at.

"To see the Great Pumpkin." She answered him, smiling at the fact that he was with her to meet the Halloween patron.

"Oh, that's right." Remembering now.

It was during lunch time when Orihime asked Ichigo to join her in her annual "Welcome to Karakura Town Great Pumpkin party". And while the little orange haired boy agreed, he didn't knew that the 'party' would be at a pumpkin patch.

At night.

All alone.

No grown-ups.

So here they are, sitting on a blue blanket, eating a picnic made by her.

"I like your costume." He indicated to the pumpkin ghost costume she was wearing.

A tiny blush appeared on the little girl's cheek. "Thank you, Ichi-chan. Onii-chan spend all night making it for me." She remember waking up that morning finding her brother fast asleep on the sewing machine with the finish costume.

"That was really nice of him." He smiled. He hope one day he be a great big brother to his baby sisters as Sora is to Orihime.

"So, what does this Great Pumpkin do?" Ichigo asked, taking a bite of Orihime's wasabi cover apple. Like the time she shared her lunch with him, he only ate it to be kind. But the her strange taste in food has started to feel ok to his stomach.

"Um, well…" she started to think "He goes all around the world giving good little children presents." Her eyes in a dreamy state.

"So, he's like Santa Clause?" Thinking he figured out this holiday figure.

"No, Ichi-chan. He is not like Santa Clause." Her face now becoming very serious.

Ichigo then became confuse. There has to be more to this Great Pumpkin then he thought.

"You see, Santa Clause gives away toys because that his job and he is expected to do it. The Great Pumpkin on the other hand does it because he feels he is filling a moral obligation." She finish with a satisfactory smirk and nod.

"Ok." Never realizing there was so much depth to this character.

And so the night went on. With the bright haired kindergarten talking about many things. From finger painting to whether or not there are transforming robots and magical ponies. They enjoyed each others company as their laughter filled the full moon night sky. But their fun didn't last long. For exhaustion took over as they started to fall asleep waiting up for the Halloween deity. The blue blanket became their source of warm and bed, sleeping like cute little cherubs.

Maybe next Halloween they get to meet The Great Pumpkin. Next time.

I know, spending all night alone in a pumpkin patch is irresponsible. But that how the Peanut Gang role.

Adult: Wawawawawawa.

What she said.

Going to come back here later to fix things up.

Have a nice day.
