A story I thought about because I got tired of reading reincarnation fics and all that or just trying to find an OC that isn't OP or a Mary Sue.

Like the summary says though, my character will have super strength which will be explained later on but I'm not going to make her like Einstein or some shit. She'll just be a normal human being, with super strength- like she can carry a car kind of strength.

I am also writing this because I hate seeing the main character hiding and whining and not doing crap. Like wtf, girls can fight too.

Just you know, without making them so perfect that I want to vomit.

Anyway, enjoy :)

"I am destined to be the most miserable person on Earth."

- Malcolm Wilkerson (Malcolm in the Middle)

The Ichinose's were a normal family. A loving mother, a caring father, a functional daughter, and another little one on the way; they were your typical, picture-perfect family, your average Joe.

Until Yuri lifted a car with her bare hands then their mundane image came crumbling down. Their life was a lie, they weren't normal.

Of course, they didn't love their daughter any less. Yuri was still their daughter, super strength or not, that will never change. They just had to set up more ground rules, although Yuri didn't really see the point. There wasn't much she could use her power for.

Namimori already had its protector, the Disciplinary Committee. Thanks to that, the town had a very, very low crime rate, almost non-existent actually.

So crime-fighting was off the list which was a shame for her, she was always a big fan of superheroes. In reality, the most she would use her power for is moving furniture whenever her mother felt like something was off. Her mother was an extremely fickle person, even more so now that she was pregnant. Apparently, that was a thing.

Apart from that, Yuri didn't have any qualms about not using her super strength aside from the occasional beating boys in dodgeball thing. There are days she where even forgets she had this power until she accidentally brakes the door or a cup.

She only uses plastic cups now.

Her life was simple, wake up, go to school, go home, repeat; like any other teenager.

Really, it was like she wasn't different at all.

"Ichinose, please start reading." The girl snapped her eyes from the sky to the teacher who was glaring at her impatiently.

"Uh..." It was clear to see Yuri hadn't been paying attention. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Yamamoto gesturing towards her, or more like telling her which line they were on.

"Right, right." And then she took in a deep breath and began to read in her best English, which honestly wasn't much different from her worst. After that disaster, she mouthed a 'thank you' back to the baseball star.

He winked at her and gave her a thumbs up. Yuri turned back to the window, this time it was to hide her red cheeks.

Like every other teenage girl, she was a teenage girl who got flustered every time a cute boy looked her way.

"Why don't you tell him?" Tsuna suggested one lunch break. Yuri paused to look up at him before going back to her melon bun.

"No wonder you can't score with Kyoko," she muttered.

"W-what's that supposed to mean?" He spluttered, his face turning bright red the way it always did when someone as so much as mentioned 'Kyoko'.

"Nothing," Yuri hummed and tossed the wrapper in the bin.

"Yuri!" She pretended not to hear him as she made her way to the roofs exit.

Like every other person in the world, she had a best friend.

The clumsy, ever so gullible Sawada Tsunayoshi, her neighbor and best friend since the day she threw Mochida across the park. That was when she was what; five, six? That was the only time she ever disobeyed the rule.

Now, it's just mainly running and hiding.

On the way back to class, Yuri saw the popular kids crowding together with Kyoko and Mochida in the middle, the girl giggling at something he said, Mochida had a haughty look on his face which Yuri wanted to smack off.

She glanced to the side to see Tsuna staring at Sasagawa longingly.

Ever since she could remember, the boy has always had a crush on the sunny girl. Yuri figured it was her bright personality, or that she was the only few nice to him apart from herself.

With a sigh, Yuri swung her arm around the boy's shoulders.

"Relax, you'll get the girl, someday," she reassured.

"Yeah... Someday," he repeated quietly, his eyes unconvinced and longing for the giggling girl.

Like every other teenager, she had to haul her friend through all the shit that comes in life.

Insecurity was a bitch.

Honestly, Tsuna might not be this way if everyone stopped making fun of him for every little slip up he made. He was always so careful and cautious in everything he did, it drove him crazy and eventually made him into the clumsy little shit he was which of course didn't make anything better.

And then there was his bad luck which was a completely different story. Mainly because it was so bad she didn't know how to put it into words.

Such as the time a dog bit him in the butt because he had beef jerky in his pocket. He had a fear of dogs now, big and small.

He also had a fear of spiders, snakes, ants, rats, cats, pretty much anything that eats and breaths.

As much as she wanted to have faith in her friend, Yuri worried about how he would survive in life.

That was until Reborn came along and dropped the bomb that Tsuna was to be the next mafia boss of the most powerful mafia family on the planet.

And like every other teenager, she had to join the mafia to ensure that her best friend wouldn't die getting shot or tripping over a rock.
