This is neither a story of a lovely couple nor a happy one.

-x-

Matilda was supposed to go to Hogwarts. Because, you know, all those weird things that happened to her during her childhood – you know what I'm talking about, you've read the book, right? – were in fact magical traits.

Problem was, Matilda never got her Hogwarts letter because of, well, her parents – they were very untidy, and they dismissed everything that had to do with their daughter. Plus, well, Hagrid was the one who would have supposedly picked her up to bring her to Hogwarts. But by that time, Hagrid was in Azkaban because of the Buckbeak incident. So, Dumbledore being so busy dealing with famous Harry Potter and poor Hagrid facing a lifetime in Azkaban, and, well, everyone else also being concerned for His Eminence Mr. Potter, no one remembered poor Matilda.

So, Matilda grew up believing she was a muggle.

But don't be sad for Matilda, for she grew up as an extremely happy kid once she went to live with Miss Honey – you know what they say, ignorance is bliss.

And the story would have ended there, had it not been for a mild incident that would change Matilda's life completely.

Bear with me as you learn the story of how Matilda met and fell in love with Hermione Granger.
