"Yes, Zero. I'm glad you understand. The Yuuki you once knew is gone. Because... the vampire in Yuuki completely devoured her."

That was the words said by a brunette teenage girl who is a vampire all this entire time, and being threatened by gunpoint by one of her own love interests, Zero.

Suddenly, a voice came.

"I think I can arrange that."

As Yuuki turns around, she is hit with a black umbrella that has a cat-like head, knocking her down to the ground. The person who hit her is a little blonde girl wearing a black and red dress, and her hair is styled on pigtails.

As she woke up from being knocked out, Yuuki finds herself tied to a tree outside the dorm rooms of Cross Academy, and in front of her is the same girl who knocked her down.

"What is this all about?" she tried to struggle.

"Where are my manners? My name is Rachel Alucard," the little vampire introduce herself. "Sorry, but I knew you will not listen to a lecture I'm going to give out so I have to pin you down.?

"What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Let it go. You've got to forget about renouncing your humanity and apologize to Zero for that," was the vampire's topic.

"What?" Yuuki is shocked by the suggestion.

"Believe me. In this work, I've met a lot of monsters who feel the same way you do. Trust me, for those who renounced on what is used to be human, it never ends well."

Rachel expected for Yuuki to reply back on her for this, but she could only see anger towards her.

"You'll only tear yourself apart," she continued. "Tell me, after this, now what? Nothing. Emptiness."

"Shut up!" the brunette vampire angrily yelled while her eyes are turning red. "What makes you think you know about it?! It's easy for you to talk. You have NO idea!"

"Is that so? Look at yourself in the mirror."

Rachel brandishes a hand mirror to show Yuuki her face. As she looked it, she started to calm down as she felt sorrow and pain in herself like how a blade pierced her heart.

She has realized on what she has become that tears are starting to fall out of her eyes.

"Oh, Rachel, what have I done?" she sobbed. "I... I'm a vampire all this time, something Zero despises. He hates me now that he knows who I truly am, so I said that the 'human me' is devoured by the 'vampire me'. I wish I could it all back on what I just said!"

"It's okay, Yuuki. I know how you truly feel," Rachel took pity on the girl that she gives her a hug. "I may be a vampire, but I hate my urges. Come to think of it, your relationship with that man, Zero, isn't it? It reminded me of someone."

"Who?"

"Ragna. Anyway, you're not the only one who knows what it like to lose somebody when you're something he despises."

It is then that they let go of the hug, and Yuuki puts her head down.

"So, it looks like you and I haven't had easy lives. Despite that, we're not that bad off. You and I have friends to fill that void," Rachel continued. "Anyway, I do know how you feel..."

She unties the rope that binds Yuuki.

"You're a Pureblood vampire. You have such responsibility, but it's not something you can mess with it or to renounce your humanity. I think, with your heart on the right place, I think you know what is right," Rachel added. "Okay, end of lecture. It's up to you to decide on your destiny. I'm only an Observer so I will only watch your decision."

Those are the last words she spoke to the newly Pureblood vampire before leaving via portal. This is one lesson she will never forget.
