Matt sobbed uncontrollably in his attic room, rocking back and forth clutching at himself, as if trying to hold something too him, or keep something inside of him. He could not believe what had happened, even though he had known at some level that it was inevitable.
He had kept pushing and pushing Tai, and the arguments had gotten worse and worse. Matt did know where Tai was coming from, but he hadn't allowed himself to care. He wanted it to be his way, no if ands or buts. It had seemed like one of the most important things to him then, but now he realized it wasn't, hadn't been worth it.
Matt bit his tongue harshly trying to stem the flow of his tears, knowing there was no point in them, that they had no use. And still they kept coming, and would probably continue to do so until they dried up in side of him, and then only his heart would be crying, as he showed a dry and distant face to the world as he had always done.
But always there would be a bleeding heart inside of him.
