Based on Walt Disney's Stage Adaptation of their 1953 Animated Film

It had been almost a week since Wendy, Michael and John had returned home and the Lost Boys were still feeling the effects of their departure. Well, not everyone. Peter, Cubby, and Fox seemed to be doing alright, but there Hop was lying in his hammock, staring up at the stars. He squeezed the stuffed bear Michael had left and held back tears as he thought about the stories Wendy used to tell them.

"Psst. Psst, Hop. Are you awake?" whispered Skunk.

A head appeared over the canopy splayed above him. Hop turned over.

"No." he grunted.

"Fine." Skunk huffed.

There was a rustling and then silence. Hop was surprised that Skunk had given up so easily, but he was glad to be rid of that conversation. Well, for now. Above Skunk stealthily aimed a pointed stick at Hop's dingy rabbit tail. Three, two- "Oww!" Hop exclaimed, falling out of his hammock.

"How about now?" Skunk whispered.

"What! What do you want Skunk?"

"You were thinking about her again weren't you?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Aww, come on Hop. You really expect me to believe that you only thought of Wendy as a mother?"

"Alright that's enough Skunk. I - I don't know what I felt, all I know is I miss her. I miss all of them to be honest."

Skunk lowered himself to Hop's level.

"I know it's been rough on you. I miss them too."

"Do you ever wonder if we made the right choice?"

Meanwhile, at the Darling household, Wendy, Michael and John have gathered under a quickly erected blanket fort.

"Do you think Peter will visit tonight?" Michael asked entering the fort.

"It's been a week and so far, nothing." replied John. "Wendy, what do you think?"

The preoccupied Wendy stared down at the book of stories in her hand, unaware that John had asked her a question.

"Wendy," Michael asked, adjusting himself into her lap in place of the book, "do you think he'll ever come back?"

"Hard to say Michael, though we parted admittedly-"

"Amicably." John corrected.

"Amicably, Peter is still stubborn. And if he feels like the goal he set out for is accomplished-"

"He won't come back?" Michael questioned; the innocent look in his eyes being replaced with a sinking realization that Wendy too feared.
