Nighttime had descended on the city. Deakins who had been focused on his own paperwork took a break and rested his eyes when he something caught his eyes. Goren and Eames were still hard at work. He decided it was time send his best two detectives home to rest especially when Alex nearing the start of her maternity leave.

He made his way out of his office and over to the desk shared his best detective pair and said, "Okay you two, I want you to go home now. Goren the paper work will be here tomorrow and Alex try to relax before the baby comes okay? And that's an order."

Alex and Bobby were glad to hear the order coming from their CO. They then packed their stuff and left the squad room together.

During the silent car ride home they held hands at every given opportunity

The minute that they had arrived home Alex without even kicking off her shoes she grabbed on to Bobby and wrapped her arms around him, holding him close.

Bobby smiled as he carefully enveloped his frame around his petite and pregnant wife as they stood hallway for a few minutes. When they came apart, Alex led Bobby to the couch as they sat down she looked intensely into his chocolate orbs and said, "Bobby, I need you to promise me something."

Bobby looked at her inquiringly knowing that he would promise her anything.

"What is it my love?"

"When our little one comes that we will encourage our kid to do what he or she loves and not impose on them like David Bishop did with Robbie, embrace diversity around them unlike Spencer Anderson and let them pick who they want to date unlike the Ann Lawson case, within reason of course."

Bobby's boyish grin appeared and replied, "Anything for you my love, anything for you."
