Good morning class! I am your new history teacher Sarah Smith. Now if you would all please sit down and write your name on a piece of paper. I will try to remember all of your names, but I can't guarantee that I will learn them all. Honestly I think I wont.'
'I will like to get started right away and not lose another minute by introducing myself, because you are way behind on schedule since miss Pittsburg absence.'
'I've been informed that you were at page 30 so please open up your textbooks.'
'Miss Smith.' A blond girl raises her hand to ask a question.
'Yes… Cassidy, am I pronouncing that correctly?'
'Yes. I wanted to ask, aren't you a little young to be a teacher.'
'Well I can assure you I'm old enough, otherwise the school board wouldn't have hired me. I can assure you I'm just as capable to teach as anyone else.
At the end of the class:
'I want you to make the expertises from page 30 till 50 for next week, and if you have any questions you can Always step into my classroom if I'm not giving any lessons or send me an email.
All of the kids leave the classroom and after the last one leaves Tommy walks in.
'Hello, you must be Miss Smith the new teacher.'
'Oh please, only a substitute teacher, and call me Sarah.' almost blushing from talking to such an attractive man. 'And you are?'
'Doctor Oliver, but call me Tommy. So, what brings you here, You're obviously not from around judging from your accent.'
'No You're absolutely right. I grew up in London. My parents moved here a few years ago so I decided to go as well.'
'What about you?'
'Like you I wasn't born and raised here, I came here for my study and haven't gone since then. But it's great here, I really don't want to be anywhere else….' Before Tommy could finish his sentence Conner storms in.
'Doctor O. we need you!.' As soon as he said it he realises Miss Smith is standing next to Tommy. 'Oh sorry miss Smith, it's really important.'
'Oh, is everything all right, can I help?' Sarah asks looking at Conner and then moving on to Tommy.
'No sorry miss.'
'Sorry, it's nothing. But it will probably take a while, so you better just go home, but I would love to continue our conversation, maybe tomorrow, at lunch?'
'Yes that's fine.' Sarah says with a mile on her face, but still a lot of confusion as well as Tommy and Conner storm out of the class room. After they both leave she collects her stuff is of to the hotel she's staying at.
