I glanced up from my book; Alice, Edward, Emmett, Rosalie and Jasper were standing there, odd looks on their faces.
"What'd I do this time?" I asked. I was well-known for practical jokes.
"Jacob." They all hissed.
"Yeah, so. . .?" I trailed off.
"Why are you seeing him?" Edward was furious. Jake and Edward had a long-running hatred.
"Why do you care?" I replied.
"Because of our imminent fate." He spoke slowly. But he was right.
"I could just as easily get hurt with him around," I spoke in a hard voice. "Yet you say not to."
"Because apparently, the scars stay there forever." Jasper was quiet; this wasn't his forte.
"But they would be part of who I am, who I was." I argued.
"You'd hate them until you die, and now there is no real future." Alice snapped. She had visions of things sometimes.
"No real future? For whom?" I pretended to be interested.
"Everything is messed up now." Alice explained.
"C'mon, Bella!" Emmett yelled. "You can't sit on the couch everyday, waiting for us to leave, to be alive while you're wasting away with the dog!"
"Emmett, shut up." I told him. He looked at me. I'd never told him to shut up.
"Isn't it time for our date, Alice?" Jasper asked, clearly trying to get away.
"And didn't you want to go someplace for dinner also, Rose?" Emmett was also trying to escape. The girls grabbed their purses and left.
"Bella, you need to leave him. He's not exactly the best thing for you." Edward spoke softly.
"And five bickering college students plus my crazy mind is?" I arched an eyebrow.
He ignored the question, bringing up another subtopic.
"Because-this is going to sound very corny, but I'd like to be your Jacob. In the endless future."
"I don't have an endless future; you don't get it." I muttered.
"Then inform me about it." His green eyes were full of pleading.
"Fine. Growing up in La Push, as Sue and Harry's adopted child from when I was a month old, around Jacob all my life, I couldn't help but start to love him. He was always around me, because I was around the pack at that time." I whispered. Now this was bad.
"You were around the pack?!" Edward nearly lost it.
"I was in the pack."
