The trail of rocks that led downward was narrow. Yuuri stared at it and allowed himself a second of fear. One wrong move and he could plummet to his death. Then he turned back to his friend, who had received a head wound when they'd fallen, and filled himself with determination.
"Shibuya, I know it's pointless to tell you not to do anything rash, but…" Murata murmured from the ground where he was laying on his back, disoriented with a concussion.
Yuuri crouched down beside him and made sure the bandage made of strips from his shirt were secure around his head, gently probing at it until he was satisfied. The rest of it had been put under Murata's head to serve as a pillow.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. You just take it easy, okay? And don't go to sleep."
Wearing nothing but the pants of his school uniform and his shoes, Yuuri started his climb down to what was hopefully salvation.
"Take it easy…" A voice muttered thinly and snorted.
