"What a wimp."
"He's boring, even No-Good Tsuna put up a better fight." With a sneer, the leader of the trio says, "Let's get out of here. I'm bored."
The three bullies stalk away from the boy curled in a ball, rubbing at the fresh bruises and cuts on his hands. Enma sighs as he goes to pick up his scattered belongings. He entered Namimori in hopes that bullying wouldn't happen but alas… that doesn't seem to be the case.
"Ah well," he says to himself, throwing in his now broken pencil case into his bag. The red-haired boy slings his bag over his shoulder and gets ready to leave.
"E-Enma!"
He turns around to see Tsuna running over, also looking quite bruised and harried.
"You're hurt," he observes. "Did you get—"
"Bullies again," Tsuna replies. "I-Im used to it though… it looks like you're hurt too."
Enma frowns. "It's not as bad as you though. You should get those cuts checked by the school nurse."
"No, it's fine!" Tsuna exclaims. "I have bandages anyway, because I knew this would happen soon." He sighs. "They always take the opportunity when Gokudera and Yamamoto aren't around… but it makes sense, since I am 'No-Good Tsuna' and they're cool and popular."
"I don't think you're useless."
Tsuna smiles gratefully to his friend. "Th-Thanks, I suppose you'll be one of the first. But before leaving, let me just wrap your hands at least. They look pretty bad."
A smile tugs at Enma's mouth as he watches Tsuna pull out a small first-aid kit from his bag. Perhaps he should carry one of those around as well.
Tsuna grabs the medical tape and wraps it cautiously around one of the red-haired boy's hand, idly talking about the school day and the second failed math test.
"Reborn's going to kill me," he groans, cutting the bandage off at the side of Enma's hand and working on the next. "He said that the next time I get a low mark, he would make sure I never slept." Both boys shudder with fear, knowing all too well that the threat does ring truth. "But I mean, the grade is a little better than the last—"
"Tsuna, your cut's getting worse," Enma points out, eyeing the small droplet of blood running down the side of the other's head.
"What?" The tawny-haired boy touches his wound, and yelps a little at the sudden sight of blood. "Agh, I didn't realize it was this bad. I really can't do anything right…"
The Shimon member quickly finishes off the bandage half-wrapped around his hand and grabs a small adhesive bandage from the first-aid kit.
Taking off the wrappings, he lightly sticks it onto the bleeding area, rubbing one thumb across for added measure.
"There."
The two boys smile as they admire their new patched up wounds.
"I guess the only thing I can do is take care of wounds," Tsuna says with a sigh. "Maybe I should just become a nurse or something… ugh, but that's so embarrassing…"
Enma laughs a little. "No, I think you're fine. You're a great friend… and that's probably the best thing to be good at."
"Y-You think so?"
He nods, giving a reassured smile. "Without a doubt."
