Ugly Duckling
A long time ago, a king and queen had two babies.
One was tan with blonde hair and blue eyes, like his parents,
But the other was pale with black hair and green eyes, different.
Their mother loved them both and while their father tried to, he could never truly love his second son, his ugly son.
All his life, the ugly son was ridiculed and made fun of,
Teased for being different.
While his brother and his friends fought with fist, he fought with magic.
While others told the truth, the ugly one lied.
No one truly loved the ugly son,
Even his mother had begun to fall out of love for her second son.
Finally, the ugly son couldn't take it.
If he couldn't receive their love so easily then he'd try to earn it,
Try to make their home better, in his own image.
It was during this time that the ugly son saw how ugly he truly was.
The ugly son fell, and no one caught him.
On another planet, far away from home,
The ugly son struck his revenge, deciding to take the native for his own kingdom.
The first son came, and he fought.
And the ugly son lost…
Will he ever become beautiful?
