Sophie 12:00

Nate and I had just finished a wonderful night. He had taken me out to dinner, we strolled along the beach and we had shared some passionate kissing on the way back home in the cab. We were at the door and ready to run upstairs until we heard a sound coming from inside the apartment.

"You go left I go right."

We opened the door, to see a sad crying Parker?

"Parker what the hell are you doing." I asked trying to keep my voice from getting too high.

"I lost my bunny!"

"And can't you just buy another one."

"It's not just any bunny it's Mr. Fluffy."

"And?"

"It was the first and last thing my parents ever got for me, I can't go to sleep without my bunny." she whispered.

I dropped my purse in Nate's hand and I almost felt his mouth drop.

" I have to find Bunny, I have to."

"Honey why don't you just calm down a little? We can find bunny tomorrow"

"Soph." Nate tried to interfere in the conversation but my concern for Parker was too strong.

"Parker"

"Bunny!"

"OK if I let you lay with me in Nate's bed tonight, will you go to sleep?"

"I guess but ..."

"Soph my bed. What about you know, you know."Nate asked

"You can sleep on the couch."

"The couch?" he asked

"The couch, now Parker go upstairs and put on one of Nate's shirts."

"Shirt?"
" I 'm going to take a shower when I come out Parker you better be ready to go to bed apish."

"Apish" she said sadly.

Nate 3:30 am.

I couldn't sleep on the couch so I went into the freezer to see if my bottle of water had gotten cold yet. As I opened the door a pink feathery bunny fell into my hands I looked at it's belly and saw an engraved on it:

I marched right upstairs into my bed room with bunny in my hand and, I couldn't help but smile. I saw Parker who was curled up into a ball being held by Sophie. Parker moved slightly and it was like Sophie went on automatic mother mode as she held on to Parker protectively by holding her tight. She even was slightly stroking her hair.

It reminded me of when Sam had a bad dream and he would crawl in the bed with Maggie and I. So to seize the moment I went back down stairs and got my phone. I took a couple of pictures before I put Parker's bunny down in front of the bed-rest. Bunny had provided a sense of protection for Parker. That is anything happened to her, she would still have bunny. She didn't really need bunny to sleep she just need to feel a little bit safe. Sophie did that. Maybe that's why tonight Sophie became Parker's new bunny.

The next morning.

"Hey Soph is she up yet."

"No I.."

"Bunny!"Parker screamed up stairs and as she ran down the stairs.

"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!"she said hugging me and Sophie.

"Where did you find it?" Sophie asked whispering into my ear.

"The refrigerator."

"Hmm we should have looked there first."

"Well we know to look there next time." Nate said while watching Parker bouncing of the walls with bunny.

"The refrigerator."

"Yup."

A/N I am really bored so I have been writing all day you'll probably see more to day too so yeah I am really bored.
