The True Meaning of Rurouni by Kawaii Strawberry
AN: Hello you guys… hope you like this little one shot of mine… I'm quite fond of these little one shots so if you think it's just too short, um, please notify me and I'll get to working on adding pointless details so even you, the relentless critic, will not be able to reprimand me on my story length. (Like my long words? Had a bit of fun with my thesaurus)
Anywho, hope you like it, and prepare to see me a lot in the RK section of (as a new reviewer and author). I've just gotten into RK and I totally have fallen in love with Kenshin!!! (Stary eyes)
Now, as I realize the pointless-ness of this note, seeing as half of you skip author notes anyways (kinda like me) so, um, let the story begin!
The true meaning of rurouni…
is not "wanderer" as many think it is so.
It does not mean "person who moves aimlessly here and there".
It does not mean "a person who strays".
The true meaning of rurouni is to stray, but then, to return.
Kaoru feared that he would go. That he would leave.
She was scared that he would turn back to his old ways, not to a battosai but to a rurouni, and wander.
Wander… and leave her.
Kaoru had always been alone. She had a father, but now no longer.
At first, she found a friend in a kindly old man, but learned a serious lesson about how you should never trust strangers.
And yet, she did trust one. Another one, another stranger. A rurouni.
A wanderer.
And yet, as they say, trust grows with a long ongoing period of time, while it can be broken in a matter of seconds.
Kaoru didn't want to lose her trust in him. She didn't want him to do anything to lose her trust.
Even with the revealing of him true—no, former identity, Kaoru still trusted him.
She trusted that, even with his rurouni aspects, that he would stray, that he would leave her, that he would wander away…
But also in that trust, she trusted him to return.
Alrightey then! I really am the person for short one shots… ehehe… And um, if you didn't like it… sorry… and um, if you did, you're my new best friend! (Giggle) just joking!
So, make my day, press that little button and um, leave a note!
