You are a queen. You were not born to serve, but to lead. And yet here you are, reduced to ruling over a group of stupid-ass carapaces because not only was your empire destroyed, but your home planet was also lost. Earth and Alternia. The two planets you loved dominating more than any other. Both gone. Destroyed. Dead.

And you, their mighty monarch, where are you? Not gone. Not destroyed. Not dead. Enslaved. Stuck in a never-ending relationship of hate and despair, filled with constant servitude and regret.

One could even call it marriage.

The name English is enough to set your teeth on edge and send a shiver through your gills. So what did you do? You enlisted the help of the Rogue of Void, only to have her completely reject you. Which was fine. You could deal with that.

So... The Maid, then. You took control of your great-granddaughter, a girl who reminds you strongly of your 'son', back in his youth, what with her love for cakes and pranks. With her mind successfully yours, you recruited the Page, who once again reminded you of that life on Earth you'd lived, all those sweeps ago.

The Witch was also yours, as she rightfully should be. Growing up, Jade had caused you nothing but trouble. It's extremely satisfying to see her obeying your commands, as she should have, but didn't, back then. With her powers, you successfully recruited the Rogue.

Your little army was coming together nicely, but it would never be enough.

Slinking round your chamber, bursting with psionic energy, you concentrate on what exists outside Skaia, outside the restrictions of this universe. After all, you are the Vanquisher of Worlds, Conqueror of Universes, Empress of Alternia, her Imperious Condescension. If anyone can pluck a man from time and space, it's you.

What's that old Earth saying? An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Fight fire with fire. You may have recruited a Witch, a Maid, a Rogue and a Page, but who better to defeat the Lord of Time than a Time Lord?

Author's Note: From the moment Alternia was introduced, I knew I wanted to write a Homestuck/Doctor Who crossover. However, I'm not overly fond with the way Moffat is choosing to write the Doctor, especially in the most recent series, and so, since the Doctor is a complex character who I'd struggle to write for realistically even if I was still keen on him, I decided that I would never write a story to match this prologue.

This has been sat in my WIPs folder since before Homestuck's hiatus, and, when I read it, I see an awful lot of wasted potential. I had a semi-decent plotline picked out and everything. Regardless, I enjoy this, and I think it makes a great prologue. It's just a shame the matching story will never be written. Since I enjoy it, and I'm in the middle of my exams, I thought it would make an ideal upload, just to keep you guys going until I finish what I'm working on at present (note: I don't know how long it will take me to finish that, since it's a lot).
