Nobody likes being alone that much

A setting where Joan left Sherlock to work with another client. This is set about a week after she left. Short, one-shot

Sherlock Holmes likes drinking his tea alone, and reading alone.

He likes watching television alone, and walking home alone.

It gives him time to think, and set his mind free.

He likes eating alone, and listening to music alone.

But occasionally he would walk into Joan's empty room early in the morning;

Or see two friends at the precinct laughing together;

Or sit at his kitchen table with take-out Chinese for dinner;

And he would realise that even though he likes being alone

He doesn't fancy being lonely.
