Disclaimer: Clearly, I do not own Torchwood. Otherwise I wouldn't be wasting my time writing fan fiction.
A/N: Post the episode 'Adrift'. Let it be known that my friend, upon knowing that the plot of this is 'Jack and Ianto fight' said it should be called 'Shut Up Bitch! It's My Turn To Talk' (she came up with that name before reading the story). Clearly, that is not the title. But I was tempted. The actual title is a song by Cage the Elephant.
Jack stormed into the HUB and looked around for Ianto. He was too angry to yell out his name. Though there would be yelling very soon. Spying the young Welshman Jack strode over to him, "You gave Gwen GPS." His voice was cold.
Ianto looked up and blinked, looking innocent. He shrugged and nodded, "Might done."
"You gave Gwen GPS, against my wishes!" Jack barked out, arms moving about in the air, making it seem as if his anger was larger than himself. "What gives you the right?! I hadn't told you about Flat Holm so that you could go about willy nilly," at this point Ianto raised an eyebrow, "telling people about it! They shouldn't know! They don't need to know the truth!
"God, Ianto! The horrors of that place! Gwen, impressionable, open hearted, innocent, believing everything will be alright, Gwen now knows about it! And Jonah's screams! She knows! Dammit!" He paced the room, glowering at Ianto.
Ianto sighed and tilted his head.
"I don't care that you thought she was never going to stop! I'd make her stop! She'd give up!" Ianto raised an eyebrow, "Or she'd just continually search! And," he paused, "then her mind would be elsewhere and wouldn't get her job done." He blinked, glanced at his lover, then continued, "No! If she had spent a month without answers, she would have given up! You didn't have to tell her! It's up to me! I decide who knows and who doesn't!"
Ianto sighed again, just looking at the elder.
"Well, yeah." His voice slightly quieter now, "I do know that she wouldn't have stopped. That she would only tear me apart looking for answers. That she'd ask and bother so much that I would tell her." Jack paused, "But still, you didn't have the right to go behind my back and tell her! I know that I would have told you not to help her if you hadn't gone behind my back then we'd be where she tears me apart. So, I guess you were right to give Gwen the GPS." He hung his head in defeat.
Ianto walked up and gave Jack a small smile as he kissed the Immortal's temple, "I knew you'd end up agreeing with me."
