Tears stained my already wet face.
He`s gone. I told myself. He`s just gone. I knew it was coming, we all did but i never expected an impact like this. Caleb and i shared our goodbyes but it still doesnt feel . . real i guess. When it happened, something inside of me just shadered. I stood looking down at his crumpled body before i ran. By now you'd think i'd be used to this but i'm not.
Tobias still hadn`t returned yet so i didnt feel like talking to anyone yet. The wall behind me consield all i wanted to hide from but my thoughts still were there. If only it been me. If only. No, i silently say to myself. If it had been me, I would have had to leave behind everyone. Caleb, Christina, Tobias . . .
Just then i could hear the faintest sound of a engine getting closer to the building in which i stood. I look down at myself. Dirt, blood, and tears stain my shirt, but i don't care. Not when i just lost my brother, my family. No more hiding, i thought, its time to face a new reality.
