CLOVE:

"CATO!" I yelled for his name. Thresh held me roughly and accused me wrongly of killing the little girl.

"CATO!" I yelled once more, still hoping. Hoping that he would call out my name, hoping that he would come running through those trees and kill Thresh.

Cato, the sword wielding blonde from my district. The rule was set, there could be two winners, but they must be from the same district, "CATO!" Come save me, so we can both be the winners.

I knew he was heartless, I knew all he wanted was to win, but deep down, I couldn't help myself. I looked up to him, he was amazing in every way. I admired him, even though he seems to only have eyes for Katniss, not exactly in a good way though.

There's also that career, Glimmer.

When she slept in his arms that night before she died, I have to admit, I wished it was me. I wished that I could sleep in Cato's large, protective arms... and in the morning, when Glimmer died, I was happy. I was happier than ever, I loved the sound of people's pain and Glimmer's pain was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard, besides Cato's voice…

I looked around one last time and called out for him, one last time, "CATO!"

Nothing.

He didn't come.

He doesn't car-

CATO:

"CATO!" I heard her screaming from afar. That voice… It could only come from one person, CLOVE. I quickly ran, ran as fast as I can. She was calling me, she needed me. She needed my help.

"CATO!" Hurry, Cato! Run, Clove is in danger.

"CATO!" You need to get to her. Run. Faster.

Clove is the knife throwing girl from the same district as me. Although I have only spent a few weeks with her, I feel the need to protect her. Especially now, knowing that there can be two winners from the same district. It was only me and her left, and Katniss and Peeta in winning. She is feisty and has a lot of guts. She is small, but she is dangerous and brave. Clove… I admired her.

I remember that night when we were waiting for Katniss to come down from the tree, Clove looked cold. I wanted so badly to sleep next to her, I wanted to wrap my arms around her and keep her warm and safe in my arms. I wanted so badly to get close to her, but I knew I couldn't. She would kill me in a heart beat. If I had went to her side and offered her to sleep in my arms, I would've probably received many knives down my throat. She is that amazing.

"CATO!" her scream was louder, I was closer. I know it.

As soon as the big field came into view, I saw her body fall. She lie limp on the ground, eyes opened.

The canon fired.

Lifeless eyes. She was gone. I was too late. I didn't make it in time.

I felt my hands curl up into tight, hard fists and the anger flooded throughout my body. I took my eyes off of her still beautiful, dead body, just for a second; to look at who did this to her. Thresh. He was running towards the woods, in the opposite direction of Katniss.

I looked back at her, she was gone. She will never know how much she meant to me. She died, calling my name… and she didn't even know that I ran, I ran as fast as I could just to get to her.

I felt a sudden gush of wind and took cover near some bushes and large trees. They were here, they were already taking away her body. Clove. The girl from my district. Dead.

Gone forever.

Clove, she was all I could see as the mutts tore and bit into my flesh. It was painful, but eventually I just became numb. Eventually I couldn't feel anything anymore. I could die right now, I could be with her. My name was the last thing that escaped her beautiful lips before she died. Now, she is the last thing that will be on my mind before I die. I saw that damned girl, Katniss, she has her bow and arrow pointed at me and I couldn't help but feel relief.

"Please." End me. Kill me now so I can be with her-
